This is me and Jonas in 2007 at one of the infamous L-R-G shoots that we would do together. Jonas died last night. For a guy like me who is not tremendously close to his biological family my friends are really all I’ve got. My friends are my family and Jonas was my brother. I really don’t know what to say about the whole thing as I am still in shock. He’s the first close friend I’ve had pass… so I’m just doing what I know how to do I guess.
All i can really say about Jonas is he was a giant among men… larger than life… A true inspiration. In a lot of ways he was the American dream .. He was just some adopted kid who grew up in LA, had a dope idea, built a clothing company from the ground up and made millions because he was smart and worked hard and had more swag than anyone else.
He taught me so much. He taught me to tell the people that I loved that I loved them and we would say that to each other whenever we would see each other and even before last night when, he died in his early 30’s, he taught us that life was really really fucking short.Out of any one I know Jonas lived life.
Jonas, I’m gonna miss you man. I love you brother.
